About the Role
4Roots is looking for a dynamic Operations Coordinator & Project Supervisor to join the Culinary Health Initiative (CHI) team. This role is perfect for a highly organized, proactive professional with experience in project management, procurement, and research coordination. If you're passionate about food as medicine, community impact, and streamlining operations, this is your opportunity to make a real difference!
What You’ll Do
Coordinate CHI Activities
Partner with key leaders to streamline research operations, including phlebotomy setup, consent form assessments, IRB compliance, and data input.
Track finances and support the grants team by creating metric reports.
Plan and execute Food as Medicine events such as dinners, conferences, cooking demonstrations, and field trips.
Procurement & Resource Management
Oversee purchasing for CHI, securing supplies, equipment, and services.
Identify cost-effective solutions and negotiate contracts with vendors.
Assist in sourcing food for events and produce for CHI & 4Roots programs.
Grant & Regulatory Compliance
Organize and manage the grant application process to ensure timely and accurate submissions.
Oversee regulatory compliance, documentation, and reporting requirements.
Strategic Collaboration
Work closely with the Chief Medical Officer to support scheduling, meetings, and key activities.
Maintain clear communication and alignment across departments.
Project Management & Execution:
Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets.
Monitor progress, troubleshoot challenges, and ensure successful project outcomes.
What You Bring
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, project management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in project management, procurement, and coordinating complex activities.
- Familiarity with medical and clinical research environments (clinical research experience a plus).
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
