Summary
As a Personal Care Assistant at 4U Home Health Care South, LLC, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients. This position focuses on providing compassionate care and support to individuals in their homes, ensuring they can live independently and with dignity.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities (ADLs) such as bathing, toileting, dressing, and grooming.
- Medication reminders and monitor clients' health conditions.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' well-being.
- Help clients maintain a clean and safe living environment.
- Support individuals with developmental disabilities in achieving their personal goals.
- Document client progress and report any changes in condition to the supervisor.
- Assist with meal preparation and nutritional needs as required.
- Promote client rights and advocate for their needs within the community.
Qualifications
- Experience in senior care or home health assistance is preferred.
- Familiarity with working with individuals who have developmental disabilities.
- Basic first aid certification is a plus but not mandatory.
- Understanding of ADLs and how to assist clients effectively.
- Compassionate nature with strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients.
- Experience in dementia care is highly valued.
- Knowledge of resident rights and advocacy principles.
