Position Overview
As a Pipe Fitter at 5-Star Refrigeration, you’ll be responsible for reading blueprints, planning pipe layouts, and installing and maintaining piping systems in commercial and industrial settings. Your role will be critical to the performance and safety of refrigeration systems across our client base. You’ll need strong mechanical aptitude, welding expertise, and a sharp eye for detail to thrive in this position.

Key Responsibilities
- Review blueprints and technical drawings to plan pipe layouts and system installations
- Inspect job sites, remove obstructions, and prepare necessary tools and materials
- Cut, thread, bend, and weld pipes according to project specifications
- Install piping systems using hangers, clamps, brackets, and welding equipment
- Assemble and secure pipe components and ensure correct fit and alignment
- Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of piping systems and related equipment
- Test system functionality and ensure all work complies with applicable codes and safety standards
- Clear obstructions and ensure optimal system performance
- Coordinate with project managers, foremen, and other trades to meet project timelines
- Order and manage materials such as pipes, hangers, valves, and hydraulic components
What You Bring
- High school diploma or GED required
- Completion of a pipe fitting apprenticeship or trade school program preferred
- Must meet applicable state licensing requirements
- Proven experience in industrial/commercial pipe fitting
- Strong mechanical, welding, and troubleshooting skills
- Familiarity with safety standards and regulations related to pressurized or hazardous piping systems
- Ability to work from blueprints and technical drawings with precision
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to team success
- Physical dexterity and the ability to work in various positions and environments
