Job Title: Night Nurse Supervisor
Shift: 8 PM - 6 AM, 6 PM -4 AM, 7 PM- 5 AM Rotating Weekends 4 days a week 10-hour shifts *once a shift is select no adjustments can be made

Job Description

The Night Nurse LPN/RN Supervisor will oversee the nursing staff and well-being of consumers in the group homes during the overnight shift. This role involves administrative, direct nursing care, supervising staff, and ensuring that all medical and procedural protocols are followed. The supervisor will also handle on-call responsibilities for emergencies and after-hours support.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervision and Oversight:

• Supervise and support staff working during the night shift.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Conduct routine rounds at assigned group homes to monitor patient care and staff performance. -MUST HAVE CAR

Clinical Duties:

• Provide direct nursing care, including assessments, medication administration, and emergency response.
• Ensure accurate documentation in patient charts and care logs.
• Address any medical concerns or incidents during the shift.

On-Call Responsibilities:

• Respond promptly to on-call emergencies, providing guidance or visiting sites as necessary.
• Coordinate with physicians, families, or emergency services in critical situations.
• O/C for call outs and tardies from the nursing staff

Team Collaboration:

• Communicate effectively with day shift staff to ensure continuity of care.
• Provide feedback and mentorship to staff members as needed.
• Participate in team meetings and share observations for process improvement.

Administrative Duties:

• Verify and document shift reports and incident reports accurately.
• Ensure proper inventory of medical supplies and equipment at group home locations.
• Review and update care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Ability to handle an emergency issue that arise and follow company protocol

Requirements:

• Current LPN or RN license in the state of Florida.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
• Minimum of 2 years of lead, supervisor, shift or floor manager experience, preferably in a group home or similar setting (acute care).
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
• Experience handling on-call duties and responding to after-hours emergencies.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
• Reliable transportation to travel between group homes as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Expert experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities or mental health conditions, vents, trachs and feeding tubes.
• Knowledge of group home regulations and compliance standards is preferred but not required

Work Environment:

This role involves working in residential group homes, providing hands-on care and supervision to both staff and patients. Occasional travel between group homes is required.
