Ductwork Fabricator

5 Star Sheet Metal LLC is looking for a dedicated and motivated Sheet Metal Fabricator. The Sheet Metal Fabricator will work with our team to assist in the fabrication of ductwork for our customers.

Responsibilities:

· Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the requirements of each project.

· Assist with the layout, measuring, and marking of sheet metal materials using appropriate tools and techniques.

· Support the fabrication and assembly of sheet metal products, including ductwork and fittings

· Assist with the maintenance and repair of existing sheet metal equipment as needed.

· Handle and transport sheet metal materials, equipment, and tools safely and efficiently.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring that all tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to minimize workplace accidents and hazards.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and customers.
• Clear communication with customers

Qualifications:

· Must have excellent communication skills with customer and team members.

· Must have experience installing ductwork (Residential, Commercial and Industrial)

· Experience making ductwork preferred including use of a coil line, plasma table, roll former, etc and manually laying out fittings.

· Ability to read and understand blueprints

· Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on attention to detail.

· Capacity to work independently or as part of a team to accomplish project objectives

· Must be able to stand for 90% of your day

· Must be able to independently lift, pull, push and pull heavy objects up to 50 lbs. and 50 – 100lbs. with assistance.

· Strong work ethic

Pay: Up to $35 per hour based on experience

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

· 8 hour shift

· Shift option of 7am-3:30 pm or 9am-5:30p

· Monday to Friday

• Overtime as needed
