Maintenance Technician
Position Overview:
5 West Group is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to join our team in the Canton, OH area. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of all facilities and equipment within the assigned location as well as assisting in the coordination of related activities with other departments. The ideal candidate will have a background in facility maintenance with a strong background in repair and installation of all building systems.
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems
- Install, maintain and repair carpentry systems
- Install, maintain and repair kitchen and laundry systems
- Maintain heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems as well as all associated equipment
- Perform routine maintenance on plumbing, electrical and other systems including light electrical work, painting and carpentry services
- Respond to emergency services including plumbing repairs, HVAC services and snow removal
- Ensure that all facility security devices are functioning properly
- Perform regular maintenance on vehicles – transporting supplies to and from jobs, cleanliness of vehicle (noise), make communication with 5 West Group (phone & email), ensure paperwork is completed correctly (once per week)
- Complete other tasks assigned by supervisor (once per week)
Required Skills:
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician in a variety of facilities or an equivalent combination of experience & education
- Ability to work in a team environment where individual contributions are valued
- Strong problem-solving abilities with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced workplace
- Excellent maintenance skills & attention to detail
- Strong customer service skills with ability to communicate effectively with clients (pre & post install)
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screening including background check, drug test and physical as well as have valid driver’s license
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour
