What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cafe Server - Part-Time (2-3 days per week) position at 50 North?

What you will be doing:
The Café Server will be taking orders for lunch (only 4 choices) and serving older adults, tableside. Lunches are paid for before seating. No bills to distribute and no money to handle. Working hours: 10:00 am - 1:30 pm 2-3 days per week. Days can be flexible.
- Greet guests as they enter the café.
- Seat guests as needed.
- Take orders and serve food and drinks to guests.
- Assist with rearranging tables for larger groups as needed.
- Addresses concerns or complaints to ensure customers have an exceptional experience.
- Thank guests for dining in the café when they leave.
- Assumes any other duties as needed.
What you need:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Experience in service or restaurant industry preferred.
- Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and customer services skills.
- Display a positive attitude.
- Pays close attention to detail.
- Exhibits excellent organizational skills.
- Maintains friendly demeanor.
- Communicates clearly and effectively.
- Possess strong problem-solving skills
Physical Requirements:
Physical job requirements include, but are not limited to the following:
- Remain in stationary position, often standing for prolonged periods.
- Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
- Ability to move equipment or boxes weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to carry a serving tray of food and drinks while moving about the café
- Ability to arrive at work on time.
- Move about to accomplish tasks.
- Ability to become CPR, AED and First Aid certified.
