Your Role: As an Actuarial Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting the actuarial department by performing initial pricing analyses, collecting and refining data, and conducting thorough pricing evaluations for our insurance products. This position involves assisting in the development of pricing models, conducting rate reviews, and offering valuable insights to inform strategic decisions. 

Your work: 

• Gather and clean up data, ensuring that it is accurate, complete, and ready for analysis

• Perform data analysis, conduct rate review, and recommend changes to new and existing insurance products

• Assist in the preparation of rate filing materials, exhibits, and other filing support data

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including state product management, finance, and claims, to provide actuarial support.

• Understand business requirements, provide project updates, and communicate results

• Follow industry developments, trends, market landscape, and emerging actuarial methods and tools

• Provide analytical support to other functions on an ad hoc basis

Required Experience, Education and Skills

• BA/BS in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science or related area and 1 - 3 years of experience performing statistical and actuarial analysis on personal lines insurance.

• OR Graduate degree in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science or related area

• Completion of two or more actuarial exams

• Have a basic understanding of the market landscape

The national average salary range for this position is $89,900-$99,900.  However, we have a location-based compensation structure. Our salary ranges vary and are calculated based on county of residence. The full salary range for this position across all the states we hire in is $71,900-$119,800.  This role also includes an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, through our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP), of up to 7% of eligible pay.
