Your Role: We are looking for a skilled Actuarial Pricing Manager to lead our team, develop accurate and timely pricing strategies, conduct thorough rate reviews, and make data-driven recommendations to drive profitable growth. The role involves staying current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive dynamics, while building strong cross-functional relationships and communicating risks and opportunities to key stakeholders.
Your work:
Lead and Manage the Pricing Team: Oversee the pricing team to ensure pricing strategies are delivered accurately and on time.
Conduct Rate Reviews: Analyze loss results and trends to provide insights and make pricing recommendations to ensure profitable growth through purposeful rate actions and pricing improvement.
Stay Informed on Industry Trends: Keep up to date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and shifts in the competitive landscape to inform pricing decisions.
Streamline Rate Review Processes: simplify, standardize & automate the rate review process to enhance efficiency and quality of execution.
Prepare Rate Filings: Create and review rate filing materials, exhibits, and other supporting data accurately and promptly for rate and product changes.
Support Enterprise Initiatives: Assist in the development of enterprise initiatives, implement pricing refreshes, and launch new products.
Build Cross-Functional Relationships: Develop strong business relationships with our cross-functional teams to align pricing strategies and ensure the successful execution of enterprise initiatives.
Communicate Risks and Opportunities: Clearly articulate risks, tradeoffs, and opportunities to business partners and executive leadership to gain their support for proposed pricing updates.
Mentor Actuarial Analysts: Provide guidance, feedback, training, and mentorship to Actuarial analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
Balance Business Results and Resources: Demonstrates the ability to achieve business goals while managing constrained human resources effectively.
Required Experience, Education and Skills
Requires BA/BS in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science or related area and 5 years of post bachelor experience performing statistical and actuarial analysis on personal line insurance
Or Graduate degree in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science or related area and 3 years experience performing statistical and actuarial analysis on personal lines insurance
ACAS (Associate in Casualty Actuarial Society) Have a solid understanding of the market landscape
Have a solid understanding of the market landscape
Requires strong decision-making, leadership and motivational skills
Requires the ability to coach, mentor, evaluate and provide training, guidance and constructive feedback to professional staff

3 years experience managing teams in a supervisory capacity

The national average salary range for this position is $151,000 - $168,000. However, we have a location-based compensation structure. Our salary ranges vary and are calculated based on county of residence. The full salary range for this position across all the states we hire in is $136,000 - $202,000. This role also includes an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, through our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP), of up to 20% of eligible pay.
