Optometrist

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Optometrist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye care services, including vision exams, diagnosis, and treatment of eye conditions. You will work closely with patients to ensure their ocular health and visual needs are met while maintaining a high standard of customer service.

Duties

• Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess vision and detect eye diseases.
• Diagnose and manage ocular conditions, including prescribing corrective lenses.
• Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Provide patient education on eye health, contact lens care, and eyewear options.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Assist in the training of staff regarding customer service and operational systems.
• Stay updated on advancements in optometry practices and technologies.
• Engage in sales of eyewear products while ensuring customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid state license to practice optometry.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, ophthalmology, and medical coding practices.
• Experience with pediatrics is a plus but not required.
• Proficiency in managing medical records and understanding vital signs.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients.
• Familiarity with sales techniques related to optical products is advantageous.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining professionalism.
