We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Optometrist to join our team. Duties
- Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess vision and detect eye diseases.
- Diagnose and manage ocular conditions, including prescribing corrective lenses.
- Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide patient education on eye health, contact lens care, and eyewear options.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Assist in the training of staff regarding customer service and operational systems.
- Stay updated on advancements in optometry practices and technologies.
- Engage in sales of eyewear products while ensuring customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid state license to practice optometry.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, ophthalmology, and medical coding practices.
- Experience with pediatrics is a plus but not required.
- Proficiency in managing medical records and understanding vital signs.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients.
- Familiarity with sales techniques related to optical products is advantageous.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining professionalism.
