What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Machine Mechanic Maintenance Tech II position at 5280 Staffing Solutions?
Shift: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm Monday to Friday
Pay Rate: $24.00 - $28.00 DOE
Minimum qualification required for this position:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience with CNC machine mechanic maintenance within a manufacturing environment
- Two or more years of experience in CNC Machine electrical/electronic machine tool repair or equivalent
- Requires a thorough electrical/electronic understanding of many types of equipment such as grinders, mills, drills, lathes, jig mills, NC and CNC equipment, etc., and may be required to modify machine operation.
- Requires working knowledge of national electrical codes and power specifications.
- Requires a working knowledge of relay logic, ladder logic, computer systems, servo drives, and motor controls.
- Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record for vehicle insurance requirements.
Basic Functions:
- The CNC Machine Mechanic Maintenance Tech Level II position is responsible for diagnoses, maintenance, and repair of all equipment and CNC machine tools as mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or electronic failures occur.
- Work with the Maintenance Supervisor and Level III technicians to continue training and learning the principles and best practices of machine maintenance.
Responsibility:
- Performs complex repair and overhaul assignments on various precision machine tools to insure safe and accurate operation of such equipment as CNC machines, lathes, mills, drills, grinders, coolant recycle system and scrap material packaging equipment.
- Works to directions provided by engineering drawings, written specifications, schematics, wiring and assembly drawings, engineering data, and verbal instructions.
- Disassembles, modifies, and replaces parts when necessary. Makes component repairs as necessary to restore equipment to serviceable condition. Orders replacement parts and sends defective components out for repair.
- Utilizes a variety of shop equipment, such as hand and power tools, hoists, forklifts, and machine tools. Also uses special electrical equipment such as amp, volt, and ohm meters, multi-meter, ball bars, calibration lasers, etc.
- Coordinates with factory service representatives on problems, trouble-shooting mechanical repairs, and specifying complex components as necessary to expedite repairs.
- Utilizes safe working habits and is conscientious to not endanger self, others, equipment, or property. Maintains work area in a neat and orderly manner to minimize unsafe conditions.
- Strives to maintain high personal productivity level and performs other related duties as assigned as well as training other employees when necessary.
- Perform Facilities maintenance on building and property as needed, such as lighting, air-conditioning/heating units, restroom facilities, sprinkler system and to insure property is maintained to minimize unsafe conditions.
