Aviation company is hiring a CNC Machinist Level II, at least with 2 years of experience in 5 axis and the types of materials.
2nd Shift : Monday to Thursday from 5 : 00pm to 3 : 30am
Pay Rate : $22.00 - $26.00 DOE & shift.
Location : Fort Collins, CO
BASIC FUNCTIONS :
PRIMARY : The MACHINIST - LEVEL II position is responsible for the operation of computer controlled machines to perform one or
more machine functions on a variety of materials.
SECONDARY : Work with Shift Supervisors and Level III Machinist’s to continue training and learning the principles and best practices of CNC machining.
MINIMUM EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS : The following education and experience qualifications are the minimum required for the position of MACHINIST - LEVEL II :
- High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years’ experience with CNC machining, aerospace blueprints / drawings and specifications OR equivalent education / experience required
- Skilled Trade certification from accredited college, community college, or vocational school preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS : The following education and experience qualifications are highly preferred for the position of MACHINIST LEVEL II :
Basic knowledge of CNC equipment capability and daily maintenanceAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusionsSkill in performing mid-level math skills efficiently and accurately (including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fraction and decimals)Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes related to the aerospace industry.Skill in using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers and other inspection gaugesSkill in reading and interpreting documents such as work orders, drawings, internal and customer specifications, manuals, and safety regulations.Ability to identify, organize, estimate, and recognize differences or similarities with excellent attention to detail Manes Machine & EngineeringBasic knowledge of 5s and lean concepts and ability to help move forward with achieving department goals.Ability to communicate information clearly and directly co-workers and supervisory personnel both verbally and in writing.Ability to adapt to change (positive or negative)Ability to accept of criticism and deal calmly and effectively with stressful situationsAbility to utilize interpersonal and communication techniques, working in a team environment, and dealing with a wide variety of personalities and communication stylesWillingness to take on responsibilities and challengesAbility to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships.Attention to detailRESPONSIBILITIES : The MACHINIST - LEVEL II upholds the following Responsibilities :
Set Up CNC equipment with supervision as neededChange cutting tools and adjust machine feeds and speeds as neededPerform FP (First Part) and In-Process part inspectionsUtilize measuring equipment used in the industry such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, gauge pins, and other measuring equipment needed to complete workUtilize production work orders (Travelers) and associated documents to complete workEnsure all required documentation is complete and correctUse prescribed procedures to inspect part(s) and product(s) produced to assure compliance to specifications that will eliminate defects, scrap, rework, etc. Ensure part(s) meet all customer quality requirements per the company’s AS9100Detect and report defective equipment , materials, and / or faulty operations to Shift SupervisorMaintain equipment and work area is clean and in an orderly condition on a daily basisFollow prescribed workplace rules and standard safety regulations at all timesIdentify the need for the creation of work instructions and setup information for new work coming to the areaDevelop constructive and cooperative relationships with others and maintain them over timeIdentify and implement opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiencyPerform other duties as assignedIND3
