Job Title: Material Handler – Plastic Injection Molding
Location: Longmont, CO
Shift: 1st Shift (7:00 am - 3:30pm/ Mon - Fri)
Pay: $18 per hr
Position Overview: Plastics Injection Molding Company located in Longmont, CO is currently seeking a Material Handler to support production operations. This role requires an organized, detail-oriented individual with a strong work ethic and the ability to manage raw materials effectively. As a Material Handler, you will play a critical role in ensuring production processes run smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle, dry, blend, weigh, and load various types of plastic resins in accordance with work orders and production requirements.
- Monitor material usage to ensure adequate supplies are available at presses to meet production goals.
- Collaborate with Production and Quality Control teams to ensure accurate material lot number tracking and compliance with quality standards.
- Issue raw materials (resins and components) to jobs, record quantities in the company’s ERP system, and maintain detailed records.
- Receive, store, and organize raw materials in the warehouse, tracking inventory levels and updating ERP system accordingly.
- Perform cycle counts to verify accuracy of warehouse inventory and ensure efficient material management.
- Operate forklifts to move materials as needed.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized production floor by removing waste and ensuring work areas are tidy.
- Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy and documentation of material lot numbers, including managing material returns and excess stock.
- Perform routine checks and maintenance on drying equipment, including cleaning filters and verifying proper material loading.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to lift up to 55 lbs routinely and work on your feet for extended periods.
- Forklift certification and experience is required.
- Basic proficiency with computer systems, including Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
- Previous experience with ERP systems is a plus.
