Job Opportunity: Welders (Entry to Master-Level)
Location: Westminster, Colorado
Position: Full-Time
Pay rate: $20-35/hr (DOE)
We are currently seeking skilled welders for a metal fabrication company located Westminster, Colorado. Whether you’re an entry-level welder or a master tradesperson, our client is looking for dedicated individuals to join their team. On-the-job training is provided, with immediate work available for candidates with TIG welding experience. The operations primarily involve sheet metal welding, but candidates must also be capable of welding tubing and thick plate as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow work orders and instructions for specific parts and processes
- Perform TIG welding on stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel
- Prepare metals, set up welding machines, and perform light maintenance on equipment
- Communicate effectively with floor supervisors and coworkers to ensure smooth operations
- Maintain detailed records of work completed
- Use proper safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
- Set up fixtures and jigs to improve workflow efficiency
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
- Interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols, and welding procedures
- Assist in training and mentoring other welders
- Demonstrate a commitment to the company’s core values and team-oriented culture
Job Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience: 1-20 years of welding experience in a metal manufacturing environment
- Licenses/Certifications: Preferred but not required
- Skills: Proficiency in TIG welding; experience in MIG welding and robotic welding is a plus
- Language: English proficiency required
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods, with frequent use of hands and arms for welding tasks
Additional Requirements:
- Must be able to pass a MIG and TIG welding test
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative work ethic
- Experience with robotic welding programming is advantageous but not mandatory
Physical Demands:
- Lifting up to 100 lbs (frequent, up to 1/3 of the time)
- Standing and walking for extended periods (up to 2/3 of the time)
- Reaching, bending, and using hands and arms frequently (more than 2/3 of the time)
- Ability to pass a welding skills assessment
