Job Opportunity: MIG & TIG Welder
We are seeking a skilled and reliable MIG and TIG Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in welding techniques specific to the sheet metal fabrication industry and demonstrate a commitment to maintaining high safety standards and quality control.
Job Type: Full-time position with expected hours of 40–50 hours per week.
Work Location: Frederick, CO
Shift: Evening (3:30pm-12am)
Pay rate: $21-$26/hr
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment by adhering to proper safety protocols and using personal protective equipment.
- Perform MIG and TIG welding operations as needed based on project requirements.
- Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and other technical documents to ensure high-quality manufacturing standards.
- Weld metal components in accordance with project blueprints and drawings.
- Deburr, grind, and finish metal surfaces as necessary to achieve the desired quality and appearance.
- Operate and maintain tools, instrumentation, and calibration equipment as required for the job.
- Manage material handling, including loading/unloading items from pallets and marking parts for identification.
- Accurately read and interpret gauges and other measuring instruments.
- Log job data and track progress using the company’s tracking system.
- Conserve materials and supplies to optimize project budgets and ensure client satisfaction.
- Perform additional tasks as needed to support the team and meet operational goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Welding certification or formal training in MIG/TIG welding.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in MIG welding within the sheet metal fabrication industry.
- 6G welding certification is preferred.
- Experience with spot welding is a plus.
- Basic math and communication skills are necessary for interpreting blueprints and following instructions.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, grip, and grasp up to 35 lbs.
- Frequent bending, twisting, reaching, and standing for extended periods (up to 8-10 hours/day).
- Work may require operation of machinery and equipment.
Work Environment:
- Moderate to high noise level typical of a manufacturing facility.
