Assistant Project Manager

A well-established and rapidly growing general contractor based in the Greater Boston area is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to support commercial construction projects in and around Quincy, MA.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing day-to-day operations of commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
• Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and clients to ensure schedule, budget, and quality goals are met
• Prepare and track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
• Support procurement and buyout processes for subcontractors and materials
• Participate in on-site project meetings and contribute to problem-solving
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards across all phases of construction

Qualifications:

• 1–3 years of experience in commercial construction, preferably with a GC or construction management firm
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Driven, collaborative, and eager to grow professionally
