We are operating on an exclusive and retained search looking for an experienced and objective Senior Political and Legislative Analyst with a strong US Republican policy background.

As a Senior Political and Legislative Analyst , you will provide clients with insightful and timely analysis of the economic implications of policy actions from the White House, Capitol Hill and Congress , helping them make informed investment decisions in equities and fixed income. You will have the opportunity to influence the strategy and decisions of major global asset managers and corporate executives.

Our client is a global policy forecasting and economic strategy advisory consultancy firm that predicts and provides insights into legislative, fiscal and financial policies globally. They provide a comprehensive macroeconomic research service for subscribers that includes detailed forecasts, they delve into crucial topics such as macroeconomic policies, monetary policies, fiscal strategies, geopolitical dynamics, and political landscapes, tailored for a global audience of esteemed global buy-side investors and corporations.

The successful Senior Political and Legislative Analyst will be responsible for covering legislative and political processes that drive US fiscal policy and political outcomes. It is imperative you have an extensive network in Washington within the Republican party.

Responsibilities of Senior Political and Legislative Analyst :

  • Deliver regular, forward-looking analyses on fiscal and political developments, focusing on key anticipated changes.
  • Provide timely, impactful insights on market-moving political and fiscal policy events for the sales team.
  • Engage with a diverse global client base, offering insights through direct calls, emails, and in-person meetings and events
  • Organise and lead dynamic events, including roundtables and webinars, featuring thought leaders and policy experts.
  • Collaborate with other analysts and team members to develop comprehensive market analyses.

Background of Senior Political and Legislative Analyst :

  • 10 years of policy analysis experience.
  • An extensive network in Washington within the Republican party
  • Extensive Washington / Capitol Hill experience in policymaking / politics, journalism or analysis
  • Proven ability to game out political, regulatory, and legislative developments and provide a framework for global investors to understand US macro developments.
  • Strong understanding of policy institutions, a keen intellectual curiosity, the resilience to engage with critical viewpoints, and the skill to conduct research and generate forecasts across diverse topics.
  • A proactive approach to breaking down complex developments, ensuring clients stay informed and ahead in an ever-shifting market landscape.
