The Airbus Helicopters Flexrotor Program offers one of the most sophisticated small tactical unmanned aerial systems (STUAS) with vertical take-off and landing (VTOL). It can be used day or night by US and allied forces for a diverse range of intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition and reconnaissance (ISTAR) on land and at sea.

Your Challenges:
Building and create configuration management program within the Flexrotor Program and future programs
Coordinate and administer configuration management activities related to identification and control of engineering documents for customer programs in accordance with contractual requirements.
Review customer contracts to assure the accuracy of current contractual reporting requirements.
Maintain procedures for storage, retention and destruction of company records, processing, storing and retrieving current and historical design, technical and program documents according to project, customer and company practices and requirements.
Schedule and lead change control meetings.
Work in a team environment to establish and execute a configuration management program for multiple systems/programs in various stages of design, development, or operations.
Recommend process improvements based on best practices and/or industry standards, facilitate post implementation reviews on failures and major changes when an unexpected impact occurs
Working closely with various teams in order to ensure changes are fully documented and approved prior to implementation with the goal to ensure compliance
Control configuration of baselines, monitor the incorporation of configuration change items, contribute to the documentation and life cycle management of changes.
Maintain configuration control databases and provides status accounting of engineering changes.
Conduct audits of CM activities throughout a project’s life cycle to verify compliance with established CM procedures and standards.
Review change requests to ensure they meet established completion criteria, identify conflicts and associated risks.
Review all implemented changes to ensure Change traceability: changes proposed, approved, and implemented for an item number (including effectivity); and the items affected by a given proposed, approved, or obsoleted change.
Provide expertise in understanding FAR and DFARS regulations and working with government contracts.
Develop and implement processes to ensure compliance with company policies/procedures, continual process improvement
Anticipate issues proactively and escalate change related issues to Manager as appropriate.
Assist in Root Cause Analysis for change failures to improve the overall process, if required.
Encourage an innovative working environment while motivating, organizing, and encouraging teamwork within the workforce.
Provide leadership by establishing clear expectations and demonstrating high standards of work practices.
Complete training on relevant quality procedures and understand the contribution to the achievement of company quality objectives.
Your Boarding Pass:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field preferred or the equivalent in experience.
10 years of relevant configuration management experience.
Candidate must have minimum three (3) years’ experience working with government programs
Candidate must have detailed working knowledge of configuration management principles and processes
Ability to work in the US without current, or future, need for visa sponsorship/work authorization is required for this opportunity.
Physical Requirements:
Onsite: 95% - onsite in Bingen, Washington.
Vision: able to see and read computer screen and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings daily
Hearing: able to hear to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds including safety warnings or alarms daily
Speaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications daily
Equipment Operation: able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment daily
Carrying: able to carry documents, drawings, electronic equipment up to 10lbs daily
Lifting: able to lift documents, drawings, electronic equipment up to 10lbs daily
Pushing / Pulling: able to push and pull small office furniture occasionally
Sitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on computer daily
Squatting / Kneeling: able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving occasionally
Standing: able to stand for discussions in offices daily
Travel: able to travel independently and at short notice rarely
Walking: able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces daily
Personal Protective Equipment required: Steel-toed shoes are required for all shop floor visits, appropriate hearing/eye protection may also be required when visiting the shop floor.
