About the Role
This Per Diem position is part of our multidisciplinary team at Kindred Hospital Riverside. Your primary responsibility will be to provide therapy to enhance patients' speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities.
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and document patient care according to regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to facilitate recovery in long-term acute care settings.
- Instruct patients' family members or nursing staff in follow-through programs.
- Maintain equipment and work areas in a safe and clean condition.
Requirements
- Graduate of a master's level program in Speech-Language Pathology accredited by the Education Standards Board.
- Meet the education and experience requirements for Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology granted by ASHA.
- Minimum of six months' experience working with an adult and geriatric population.
- Current and unrestricted Speech-Language Pathologist license in the state where services are rendered.
