Job Summary:
The Service Sales Manager is responsible for leading and developing the Service Department within their market, primarily focusing on Technicians. This role emphasizes training Service Techs to effectively sell services while ensuring a strong technical understanding of all products and services offered. The Service Sales Manager will oversee both internal and external aspects of service sales operations, fostering a revenue pipeline through exceptional service and comprehensive sales training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mentor and Guide Service Teams: Foster a sales-oriented culture within the Service teams, emphasizing the importance of upselling and cross-selling waterproofing and foundation repair services to enhance customer satisfaction and company revenue.
- Set and Monitor Revenue Metrics: Establish, track, and drive service revenue goals for both personal and team performance, focusing on achieving sales targets in the waterproofing and foundation repair market.
- Develop Sales Strategies: Create and implement effective sales strategies and processes that align with overall objectives for service sales in the waterproofing and foundation sectors.
- Analyze Sales Performance: Review sales performance data to evaluate productivity, identify areas for improvement, and determine training needs for Service Technicians to enhance their sales techniques.
- Collaborate with Appointment Center: Work closely with the Appointment Center Manager to improve customer service protocols and maximize sales opportunities during service calls, ensuring that all potential upsell options are effectively communicated.
- Coach Team Members: Provide ongoing coaching on effective sales techniques and customer engagement strategies, empowering team members to meet and exceed assigned sales metrics.
- Review Service Visits: Evaluate completed service visits to ensure quality standards are met and identify potential sales leads for follow-up on additional waterproofing or foundation services.
- Document Outcomes Accurately: Ensure that service visit outcomes are documented accurately in company databases, including any identified sales opportunities, for effective tracking and reporting.
- Conduct Monthly Assessments: Perform monthly reviews of service performance metrics related to sales goals, ensuring compliance with purchasing and inventory policies relevant to service operations.
- Manage Production Efforts: Collaboratively oversee production efforts, focusing on identifying and leveraging sales opportunities during service interactions to increase overall revenue.
Experience and Education:
- Proven experience in sales and service, with a strong track record of achieving sales goals.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.
- Flexibility in workforce planning and resource allocation.
- High School Diploma or GED required; vocational school or college degree preferred.
- 4-6 years of experience in a sales role, with 1-2 years in a supervisory position.
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel).
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean Motor Vehicle Record; ability to obtain DOT certification and basic OSHA knowledge.
Preferred Qualifications:
