Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Tax Preparer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of tax regulations and financial concepts, enabling them to assist clients in preparing their tax returns accurately and efficiently. This role requires excellent customer service skills, as well as the ability to analyze financial information and provide sound advice based on tax laws.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and file federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses.
- Analyze clients' financial information to determine tax liabilities and potential deductions.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns regarding their tax situations.
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions and communications with clients.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Utilize 10 key typing skills for efficient data entry of financial documents.
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes related to tax preparation.
Experience
- Previous experience in tax preparation or a related field is preferred.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, corporate accounting, and financial concepts.
- Proficiency in using tax preparation software and tools.
- Excellent math skills for accurate calculations related to taxes.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple client accounts effectively.
- Experience in a clerk or administrative role is a plus, particularly in finance or accounting settings.
- Spanish Speaking desired.
- Quickbooks experience and knowledge.
