What are the responsibilities and job description for the IM Field Technician position at 5D Field Services?
Perform work under direct guidance of a Supervisor to provide full-service hazardous materials and environmental emergency response and special services in a safe manner that delivers quality work. This position will require non-traditional working hours, including day and night shifts, weekends, and occasionally holidays. Extended travel may be necessary at times.
Daily work will involve confined space entry such as manholes, tank cleaning, oil spill cleanup, drum handling, decontamination, sweeping and shoveling, high pressure washing and various other remedial activities.
Work conditions consist of various indoor and outdoor conditions, including but not limited to, extreme hot and cold temperatures, elevated work areas, confined spaces, heavy lifting and rigorous physical activity. Humidity/wet conditions may also be present. Noise conditions frequently reach loud levels during work activities. Will perform a wide variety of tasks associated with industrial waste clean-up, site remediation, equipment and facility decontamination, and handling of hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
Physical Demands
· Regularly Required to walk, stand, stoop, kneel
· Must be able to lift/carry 25 lbs.
· Climb up and down ladder
· Wear a Respirator or SCBA
· Perform work in variety of outdoor conditions
