Overview
We seek freelance Food Delivery Drivers.
- You must provide your own vehicle.
- You must have a valid driver's license and insurance for the vehicle.
- You will be paid $5 per delivery and receive tips from customers.
- Deliveries will be in the Fort Plain, Canajoharie, Palantine Bridge, Nelliston and St. Johnsville and surrounding areas.
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering food from the 5s Diner located in Fort Plain to customers, ensuring timely and safe delivery. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills.
Responsibilities
- You let us know what hours you are available to be on call for deliveries.
- The customers will place their orders with us. We will text you if you want to take the delivery.
- We will provide the food in an insulated carrier.
- We will provide the receipt and the credit card slip for the customer to sign. The signed receipt must be returned and carrier to the diner to get paid for the delivery.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any inquiries or concerns from clients.
- You will not be an employee, but a free-lance contractor. .
Experience
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with route driving and local area navigation is advantageous.
- Experience with heavy lifting and warehouse operations is beneficial.
- Knowledge of operating forklifts is a plus but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
