Security Officer

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to security, excellent observation skills, and the ability to respond effectively to various situations. The Security Officer will work closely with law enforcement and emergency services as needed.

Duties

• Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to maintain security of the premises.
• Conduct regular patrols of the property to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
• Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, providing first aid or CPR when necessary.
• Prepare detailed reports of daily activities, incidents, and any unusual occurrences.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies during emergencies or investigations.
• Manage conflicts effectively while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.

Experience
Candidates should possess the following qualifications:

• A valid NJ Sora Certification is required.
• Experience in law enforcement or military service is advantageous.
• Proficiency in conflict management techniques and crisis intervention.
• Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification is highly desirable.
• Strong observational skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective reporting and interaction with others.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
