Security Officer

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to security, with an emphasis on loss prevention, surveillance, and conflict management. The Security Officer will monitor premises through CCTV, conduct regular patrols, and respond to incidents as they arise.

Duties

• Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to maintain security of the premises.
• Conduct regular patrols of the property to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
• Operate and monitor CCTV systems to ensure comprehensive surveillance coverage.
• Respond promptly to alarms or incidents, assessing situations and taking appropriate action.
• Enforce rules and regulations while ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
• Prepare detailed reports on daily activities, incidents, or irregularities observed during shifts.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when required for investigations or emergencies.
• Engage in conflict management strategies to de-escalate potential disturbances.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is preferred but not mandatory.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with loss prevention techniques and surveillance systems is a plus.
• Strong observational skills with the ability to remain alert at all times.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with staff and the public.
• Ability to handle conflict situations calmly and professionally.
• Must be physically fit to perform duties that may include standing for long periods or walking considerable distances.
• A valid driver's license may be required depending on job location.
