Job Summary
The Patrol Officer is responsible for maintaining safety and security at the resident gate where the gate is currently not functioning. This role involves monitoring the area from a stationary position in a vehicle, ensuring the safety and security of the premises. The ideal candidate will possess strong observation skills and a commitment to ensuring that only authorized individuals access the premises.

Duties

• Sit in a designated vehicle at the resident gate to monitor the area, ensuring unauthorized individuals do not enter.
• Observe and report any suspicious activity or individuals attempting to access the property.
• Maintain a constant, active presence to deter criminal activity and ensure the security of the premises.
• Respond to calls for assistance, such as access requests or disturbances, as directed.
• Monitor the gate area for any safety hazards, reporting any issues to management.
• Ensure that only authorized individuals gain access to the premises by verifying credentials or following protocols.
• Provide periodic updates to management regarding any concerns or incidents.
• Prepare detailed reports of daily observations and actions taken during the shift.
• Maintain a professional and alert demeanor at all times while in the vehicle.
• Respond to emergencies or security incidents if necessary, alerting authorities when needed.

Requirements

• Previous experience in security or similar roles is preferred but not mandatory.
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods.
• Ability to maintain focus and attention to detail while monitoring the area from the vehicle.
• Strong communication skills to report incidents clearly and professionally.
• Must have a reliable vehicle to use for the position.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• A background check will be conducted prior to employment.

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
