We are seeking a Associate Scientist to join Q2 Solutions, IQVIA’s laboratory business at Durham, NC.

Job Summary:
The Associate Scientist will perform routine analysis and laboratory testing procedures, ensuring compliance with SOPs and regulatory guidelines while supporting quality assurance and operational efficiency.
What you’ll be doing:
Perform and document analytical procedures with accuracy and consistency, following SOPs and regulatory standards.
Analyze data to verify procedures meet acceptable tolerances, escalating issues to senior lab personnel.
Prepare and upload data analysis results to LIMS systems under guidance from senior staff.
Conduct equipment calibration, maintenance, and hands-on training for staff in areas of proven competency.
Assist with quality investigations, procedural updates, and implementation of changes.
Prepare buffers, solutions, and reagents for laboratory analysis as required.
Monitor inventory and notify staff of supply shortages to ensure operational continuity.
Represent lab teams in cross-functional projects and collaborate with stakeholders to meet objectives.
What We Are Looking For:
Bachelor’s Degree in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science, medical laboratory technology, or cytotechnology (required).
Minimum of 6 months of experience in a regulated laboratory environment (preferred).
Working knowledge of laboratory techniques, safety protocols, and infection control procedures.
Other equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities needed for this role:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, and close eye work requirements (e.g., typing, computer use, reading small prints). Occasional exposure to cold temperatures.
Proficiency with automation or specialized laboratory equipment and routine calculations (e.g., averages, means, standard deviations, QC metrics).
Strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities to meet deadlines effectively.
Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, and ability to collaborate with internal teams seamlessly.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $47,600.00 - $79,300.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.Salary : $47,600 - $79,300
