Environmental Health and Safety Intern (Onsite, Summer 2025)

IQVIA is hiring a Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Intern for the Summer of 2025 in our Durham, NC office! This is a 100% onsite internship and candidates must be local to the Durham office.

Job Overview
Provides technical support to Environmental Health and Safety Manager

Essential Functions
• Responsible for conducting chemical inventory for the site and align inventory with the warehouse with the warehouse
• Update safety data sheet database with updated chemical inventory
• Intern will spend time performing and learning from the site EHS manager
• Responsible for standardizing spill kit equipment
• Conduct EHS Assessments where needed
• Review and update sitewide CAPA tracker
• Assist with standardizing safety signage and chemical labeling practices
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
• Pursuing education (Bachelor of Science) in biology or science relation field
• Appropriate verbal and written communication skills to function within a professional work environment.
• Evidence of effective problem – solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• Proficiency in alignment with the desired role placement
• Evidence of strong team work and communication skills.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $31,900.00 - $53,100.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
