What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lab Associate - Microbiology position at 5TA US Quintiles Laboratories?
We are seeking a Laboratory Associate to join IQVIA Laboratories at Valencia, CA.
Shift Schedule: 3pm to 11:30pm

As a Laboratory Assistant, you will perform routine testing procedures to obtain data for use in clinical trials research.
What you’ll be doing:
Perform routine analysis of specimens and document results in accordance with SOPs and regulatory guidelines.
Evaluate the validity of analytical results against lab computer system algorithms.
Identify and document potential performance errors or unusual results, escalating to senior lab personnel.
Prepare buffers and solutions for analysis as needed.
Perform secondary review of analytical results when deemed competent for specific instruments/data types.
Manage post-analysis sample and reagent storage.
Assist in the development and writing of new laboratory procedures and techniques.
Maintain good housekeeping in the lab, adhering to 6S standards.
What we are looking for:
High School Diploma or equivalent; a Bachelor's Degree is preferred for some CAP/CLIA lab locations.
Minimum 6 months of relevant lab experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Other Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.
The knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for this role:
Basic knowledge of lab principles and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
Familiarity with laboratory safety and infection control procedures, including hazardous chemical handling.
Proficiency in laboratory equipment, instrumentation, and terminology.
Strong collaboration skills with internal stakeholders.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $45,200.00 - $75,400.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.Salary : $45,200 - $75,400
