We are seeking a Scientist, Assay Development to join IQVIA Laboratories in Durham, NC.

As a Scientist for Assay Development, you will contribute to the design and execution of assay/method development experiments.
What you’ll be doing:
- Contributing to the design and development execution under moderate supervision.
- Executing assigned tasks and activities to support assay/method development.
- Participating in technical discussions, experimental design, data review, and sponsor inquiries.
- Assisting in troubleshooting and process improvements to enhance data quality, reduce costs, or shorten turnaround times.
- Presenting assay development results to support data review and transfer to Validation or Production labs.
- Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to facilitate the assay development process.
- Preparing technical reports, summaries, protocols, and quantitative analyses.
- Maintaining laboratory notebooks under applicable regulatory standards and good documentation practices.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline (Some CAP/CLIA lab locations may require a BS in chemistry, biology, or medical laboratory technology).
- 1 year of related experience in method or assay development or specific methodology area.
- Basic knowledge of assay/method development principles, theories, concepts, and instrumentation.
- Other equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.
The knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for this role:
- Understanding of sample handling and preparation.
- Proficiency with relevant laboratory techniques.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety and infection control procedures and practices, including standard precautions and hazardous chemical handling.
- General awareness of the broader drug development process and the interaction of method development in that process.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $62,400.00 - $104,000.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.Salary : $62,400 - $104,000
