Spec Receipt & Proc Assoc 2

We are seeking Specimen Receipt & Processing Associate 2 to join IQVIA Laboratories at Valencia, CA.

Responsible for various activities associated with accessioning clinical specimens and guiding entry-level staff, while serving as a point of contact for routine troubleshooting and resolution.

What You’ll be Doing:

• Accession and resolve problems ensuring all samples are accurately identified, sorted, and labeled for testing and/or storage.

• Maintain freezer and inventory.

• Identify errors or potential problems and escalate to senior level staff.

• Guide entry-level staff on basic department procedures and assist with onboarding of new staff.

• Support and respond to after-hour alarms and/or other job critical functions.

• Handle receipt of compounds and control material, as required.

• Support safety, quality, and 6S requirements and initiatives.

• Notify appropriate staff of supply shortages.

What we are looking for:

• High School Diploma or equivalent, or Bachelor’s Degree (CAP/CLIA lab locations may require a BS in chemistry, biology, or medical laboratory technology).

• 6 months of related experience.

• Basic knowledge of internal systems and procedures with demonstrated ability to navigate and resolve routine challenges.

• Good working knowledge of relevant procedures.

• Basic computer skills.

• Ability to maintain effective reporting procedures and control workflow.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers, and clients.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $45,200.00 - $75,400.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
