As a Preventative Maintenace Technician you will, under general supervision, perform semiskilled work in operating and routinely servicing CNC machines and performing a variety of facilities maintenance duties. The work of the class involves responsibilities for the safe, efficient operation, and routine servicing of the CNC machines.
What You Will Do:
- Plan and perform predictive and preventive maintenance.
- Conduct regular inspections of CNC machines to identify any potential issues or defects.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubrication, and part replacements.
- Implement preventative maintenance schedules to minimize equipment downtime and extend machine life.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to prioritize maintenance activities and minimize equipment disruptions.
- Maintain an inventory of necessary replacement parts and materials.
- Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and guidelines.
- Perform other related duties as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.
Do You Have:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in CNC machine maintenance and repair.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems and components.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues quickly.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime as required.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Capable of being forklift certified.
