Are you an organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven professional with a passion for optimizing procurement processes? We’re looking for a talented Purchasing Agent to join our growing team at 5th Axis, where you'll play a key role in ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently.
As a Purchasing Agent you will be responsible for managing the procurement of materials, components, and services to support manufacturing operations. This role involves ensuring timely deliveries, maintaining quality standards, and managing costs. The Purchasing Agent will oversee supplier performance, maintain accurate records of prices, quantities, and delivery schedules, and ensure inventory goals are met. Additionally, the role includes sourcing materials, negotiating the best prices and delivery terms, and addressing any issues related to procurement.
What You Will Do:
- Oversee and maintain current inventory.
- Research, analyze, and forecast current and future buying trends, markets, styles, and products, with attention to specified target market and demographics.
- Develop and maintain relationships with wholesalers and suppliers.
- Negotiate contracts with wholesalers and suppliers.
- Assess financial risks of purchases.
- Support Accounting issues in a timely manner.
- Visit Suppliers that impact current production or deliveries.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Do you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or equivalent experience required.
- 2 - 5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management within a manufacturing or similar industry.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Efficient typing skills, with an emphasis on accuracy and legal aspects of purchasing.
- Ability to compile information and make decisions.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
