Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bilingual English/Spanish Shipping Supervisor to oversee the shipping operations in our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will ensure that all outgoing shipments meet quality standards and deadlines while managing a team and maintaining compliance with safety and operational guidelines. This role requires excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish to effectively coordinate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, schedule, and oversee daily shipping activities to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Coordinate with production, warehouse, and logistics teams to meet shipping deadlines.
- Lead, train, and manage a team of shipping associates, ensuring high performance and productivity.
- Assign tasks and monitor team performance to maintain operational efficiency.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
- Monitor shipment accuracy, packaging standards, and documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, including packing lists, invoices, and shipping labels.
- Ensure proper inventory levels and collaborate with inventory control teams to resolve discrepancies.
- Use shipping software and ERP systems to manage orders and track shipments.
Qualification:
- Ability to lift and move heavy packages (up to 50 lbs) as needed.
- Proven experience as a Shipping Supervisor or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (written and verbal).
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Familiarity with shipping procedures, freight carriers, and logistics coordination.
- Proficiency in using ERP systems, shipping software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety practices.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, industrial environment.
- Extended periods of standing, walking, and manual dexterity for handling goods.
- MUST BE FORKLIFT CERTIFIED.
