Job Summary:
The Lumper is responsible for unloading and loading trucks, sorting, and stacking products, and ensuring all shipments are handled properly. The role requires physical strength, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load and unload freight from trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Move, stack, and organize products in designated warehouse areas.
- Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damage and accuracy.
- Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, or hand trucks (if certified).
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Follow company procedures and safety regulations.
- Assist with inventory control and reporting damaged goods.
Requirements:
- Ability to lift heavy objects (50 lbs) repeatedly.
- Experience in a warehouse or loading dock environment preferred.
- Knowledge of proper lifting techniques and safety procedures.
- Ability to work in a team and follow instructions.
- Forklift certification (a plus but not required).
- Flexibility to work different shifts, including nights and weekends.
