Your Role at Baxter
We are looking for a Clinical Services Manager to join our Ambulatory Cardiac Monitoring team in our Milpitas, CA office who is passionate about ECG interpretation and helping cardiac patients through our innovative remote patient monitoring technologies. The right individual will join a multi-faceted and fast-paced environment focused on high quality patient care. Primary duties include, but are not limited to, managing a team of ECG Analysis Technicians, ensuring high quality outcomes for patients and customers, adapting processes and team performance to business needs, developing team members, and achieving metric goals in collaboration with direct reports and peers within leadership.
What You'll Do:
• Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day workflow of assigned team members while ensuring operational standards and goals are met.
• Recruit, hire, and schedule ECG Analysis Technician team members to support daily business needs.
• Consistently meet or exceed KPIs for self and team as designated by management.
• Evaluate team performance and provide guidance, support, recognition, and/or improvement plans.
• Proactively track team performance metrics and implement preemptive support to ensure individual and team goals are met.
• Facilitate ongoing development of staff including, but not limited to, one-on-one meetings, annual performance evaluations, potential promotion opportunities, and implementing corrective action as needed.
• Contribute to the strategic management, planning, and leadership of the Clinical Services staff.
• Ensure staff compliance with all Company policies and procedures in addition to any state or federal regulation agencies.
• Coordinate with the Training & Development team on continuing education for staff.
• Stay up to date with current procedures and practices for ECG scanning and report building, including completing ECG/CAM Reports as needed.
• Other tasks and duties as assigned.
What You'll Bring:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CRAT or CCT certification. If not already certified, must obtain CRAT or CCT within 12 months of hire date.
• Six (6) months or more experience in a lead, supervisory, or management role.
• For internal candidates, must have some experience in an EPM role or higher within the Clinical Services department OR comparable experience in a prior position.
• One (1) to three (3) years of experience as a Holter, Event, or Telemetry technician with in-depth knowledge and skill of advanced ECG interpretation.
• External candidates must pass an ECG Interpretation exam prior to hire date.
• Detailed and advanced knowledge of cardiology, electrophysiology, and related physiology as it applies to cardiac monitoring and ECG reporting.
• Proven ability to lead and inspire leadership skills amongst clinical staff.
• Previous experience and/or ability to speak with internal and external customers articulately and professionally.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Thorough attention-to-detail and documentation skills.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Great time management and ability to multi-task and/or prioritize workflow.
• Excellent PC proficiency level.
• Must be able to balance team/individual responsibilities and contribute to a positive team culture.
• Phenomenal work ethic and desire to provide high quality outcomes (reports) to our customers and patients.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Associate degree or two years of college course work preferred.
• Prior experience in a managerial role preferred.
• Three (3) or more years of experience in expert ECG interpretation preferred.
• Prior experience in a Holter or Telemetry monitoring center preferred.
• Prior experience with Nemon or LX Analysis software preferred.
• Prior knowledge of medical terminology specific to Cardiology and Electrophysiology preferred.
We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. To that end, this position has a base salary range of $104,000.00 to $135,000.00. The above range represents the expected salary range for this position. The actual salary rate may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.
