The FedEx Business Contact (BC) / Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily Pickup and Delivery (P&D) operations, acting as a liaison between drivers and upper management, and facilitating maintenance coordination for up to 12 drivers.
This position reports directly to the AO and requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Primary Responsibilities:
Ensure the successful execution of daily P&D operations.
Utilize Dynamic Route Optimization (DRO) and plan routes daily/nightly.
Distribute daily routes to drivers and ensure attendance.
Support the development of company policies and procedures.
Attend daily FedEx meetings to review previous day results.
Complete and process all paperwork in a timely manner.
Facilitate communication between ISPs and Stations during load times.
Ensure driver compliance with daily route duties, including pickups, coding, efficiency, paperwork, and hours of service.
Assist in the development and critique of training programs.
Collaborate with the Service Manager to schedule truck maintenance and ensure proper vehicle inspections by drivers.
Serve as a backup driver on delivery routes when necessary.
Coordinate and oversee maintenance activities, including scheduling regular inspections and repairs for company vehicles and equipment.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules, repairs, and expenses.
Collaborate with external vendors and suppliers to procure necessary parts and services for maintenance activities.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards for maintenance procedures.
Implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and maximize the lifespan of company assets.
Provide guidance and support to divisional maintenance staff as needed.
