The Opportunity:
As an experienced engineer, you know that machine learning is critical to understanding and processing massive datasets. Your ability to conduct statistical analyses on business processes using ML techniques makes you an integral part of delivering a customer-focused solution. We need your technical knowledge and desire to problem-solve to support the next generation of defense weapons systems. As a machine learning engineer on our defense team, you’ll train, test, deploy, and maintain models that learn from data.
In this role, you’ll own and define the direction of mission-critical solutions by applying best-fit ML algorithms and technologies. You’ll be part of a large community of machine learning engineers across the firm and collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, solutions architects, and subject matter experts to deliver world class solutions to process data and information to provide near real-time analysis. Your advanced consulting skills and extensive technical expertise will guide clients as they navigate the landscape of ML algorithms, tools, and frameworks.

You Have:
3 years of experience in AI, Python programming, and deep learning frameworks, including PyTorch, MXNet, TensorFlow, or Keras, and big data technologies, including Hive, PySpark, Synapse, or Databricks
Experience developing Natural Language Processing (NLP), Large Language Model (LLM), and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) enabled solutions
Knowledge of AI-Enabled systems
Knowledge of AI concepts, such as clustering, regression, algorithm selection and evaluation
Ability to address unbounded technical issues and problem solve
TS/SCI clearance
Bachelor’s degree
Nice If You Have:
Experience with HTML, CSS, and front-end web frameworks
Experience working in enterprise systems
Experience with Data Operations, such as analytics, engineering, or platform
Knowledge of DoD and IC domain and artificial intelligence principles and practices, to include deploying ML models into production within DoD enclaves
Ability to deploy production application to a cloud environment, such as Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services
Ability to evaluate algorithm performance
Master’s Degree
Certifications in technical domains, such as security, cloud, or software development or in specializations, including AI/ML, computer vision, deep learning, or NLP
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
