The Opportunity:

Everyone is trying to “harness the cloud,” but not everyone knows how. As a cloud computing application architect, you know how to create a cloud-based technical architecture that meets client needs and takes advantage of cloud capabilities.

This is an opportunity to use the latest cloud technologies as you look for ways to improve your client’s environment using current cloud capabilities. Your technical expertise will be vital as you work to inform strategy and design and ensure standards are met throughout the cloud migration process.  

You’ll recommend tools and solutions based on your research of the current environment and knowledge of various on-premises, cloud-based, and hybrid resources. You’ll lead your team as they help the client overcome their most difficult challenges in the cloud. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

You Have: 

• 6 years of experience as a cloud architect in AWS or Azure
• Experience developing and applying advanced engineering and design methods, theories, and research techniques in the investigation and solution of complex and advanced system requirements, hardware or software interfaces and applications, and solutions
• Experience formulating and defining system scope and objectives, and developing or modifying processes to solve complex problems for computer systems and business and electronic interfaces to achieve results through the use of innovative technologies
• Experience with machine learning, artificial intelligence (AI), and generative AI cloud services such as AWS SageMaker, Azure Machine Learning Studio, and Hugging Face
• Experience collaborating with multiple Agile teams on cloud environment set up, configuration, resource optimization, security, compliance, and cost management
• Experience contributing to overall strategic vision and integrating a broad range of solutions in support of client requirements for IT projects
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements. 
• Bachelor’s degree
• AWS or Azure Cloud Architect or Administrator Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
