The Opportunity:  

We are seeking a skilled AWS CloudOps Engineer to support and manage our AWS environment. In this role, you will be responsible for building, deploying, monitoring, and maintaining our AWS infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security. Your combination of people skills and system administrator expertise makes you the team hero, solving one problem after another. As an AWS CloudOps Engineer on our project, you’ll ensure the current infrastructure is functional and available. You’ll constantly look for ways to make the infrastructure better using the latest technology and the best implementation strategies. You’ll provide your customers insight into their network through monitoring and performance management, helping them understand the network by turning metrics into information, and explaining their meaning. Your systems and CloudOps expertise will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical network.

As a system administrator leader, you’ll identify new opportunities to modernize the network so your clients achieve their goals. You Have: 

• 5 years of experience with design, deployment, and management of Cloud environments, including AWS or Azure 

• 5 years of experience with system administration of Windows or Linux Operating Systems 

• Experience supporting the migration, architecting, building, and deploying of systems and applications in Cloud platforms 

• Knowledge of foundational system administration principles 

• Ability to collaborate with RMF teams to flush out security controls and initiate or maintain cloud services

• Top Secret clearance 

• Bachelor's degree

• DOD 8140 IAT Level II Certification, such as Security Certification

 

Nice If You Have: 

• Knowledge of DoD accreditation processes

• AWS or Azure Certification 

Clearance:  

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
