The Opportunity:

Cyber threats are everywhere, and the constantly evolving nature of these threats can make understanding them seem overwhelming to military organizations. In all of this “cyber noise,” how can these organizations understand their risks and how to mitigate them? The answer is you. We need your knowledge as an information security risk specialist to help break down complex threats into manageable plans of action. 

As an information security risk specialist on our team, you’ll use your experience to work with military leaders and subject matter experts to discover their cyber risks, understand policies, and develop a mitigation plan. You’ll review technical, environmental, and personnel details from SMEs to assess the entire threat landscape. Then, you’ll guide your client through a plan of action with presentations, whitepapers, and milestones. 

You’ll work with your client to translate security concepts so they can make the best decisions to secure their mission-critical systems. This is your opportunity to act as an information security subject matter expert while broadening your skills in cybersecurity.

You Have: 

• 3 years of experience with cybersecurity, IA, and JWICS accreditation support
• Experience with DoD IA RMF, DCID 6/3, or ICD 503
• Experience with DoD security technical implementation guides (STIGs), checklists, and DoD testing tools, including Gold Disk, Security Readiness Review Scripts (SRRs), SCAP, and the Retina Nessus ACAS scanning tool
• Experience in STIGs hardening validation, analysis tracking, and reporting
• Knowledge of the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS)
• Ability to conduct ACAS scans, including analysis tracking and reporting
• Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
• Bachelor's degree
• CSSP Certification such as CEH, CFR, CCNA Cyber Ops, CCNA-Security, CySA , GCIA, GCIH, GICSP, Cloud , SCYBER, or PenTest Certification

Nice If You Have: 

• Experience with the Trojan Network
• Experience with XACTA
• Knowledge of FISMA and reporting requirements
• Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
• DoD 8570 IAM Level II or III Certification

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,400.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
