This role is more than just coding. As a full stack big data software engineer at Booz Allen, you’ll use your passion to master new tools and techniques and identify needed system improvements. You’ll help clients overcome their most difficult challenges using the latest architectural approaches, tools, and technologies. You’ll make sure the solution developed by the team considers the architecture and operating environment, as well as future functionality and enhancements.

You Have:  

• Experience using Linux CLI

• Experience with Bash or Python scripting

• Experience with demonstrating Big Data processing

• Experience with Web development, HTTP, and REST services

• Experience with containerization technologies, including Docker

• Experience in leveraging distributed compute technologies, including Spark or Hadoop

• Experience with managing and testing new models for data processing and data flow patterns

• Experience in deploying and managing data storage solutions, data processing and pipeline solutions

• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

• Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:  

• Experience with NoSQL technologies, including Elasticsearch and Accumulo

• Experience with Object Storage Technologies

• Experience with developing Java applications in a Linux environment

• Experience with container orchestration frameworks, including Kubernetes and OpenShift

• Experience with data flow management and orchestration tools, including NiFi or Airflow

• Experience with machine learning packages and pipelines 

• Experience with CI/CD principles, concepts, best practices, and tools, including Jenkins and GitLab CI

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
