Key Role:
Provides technical writing support, to include creating and preparing programmatic and engineering documentation for the client from initial draft through finalization for delivery. Writes and edits technical manuals, test procedures and plans, work instructions, and training packages, with primary focus on drafting new technical documentation. Interviews subject matter experts, conducts research, and analyzes technical information to distill into clear and concise language. Leverages knowledge of technical writing best practices and DoD guidance to produce comprehensive and accurate documentation. Applies advanced consulting skills or extensive technical expertise. Develops innovative solutions to complex problems. Works without considerable direction, mentors and may supervise team members. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.
Basic Qualifications:
5 years of experience in technical writing and producing technical documentation
5 years of experience with using Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat Pro, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Experience with using AI technology and tools to create written content
Bachelor’s degree
Additional Qualifications:
Experience with military standards and specifications governing the preparation of technical documentation

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $67,700.00 to $154,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
