648 Bourbon & Cigar Lounge, is accepting applications for skilled and enthusiastic Bartenders to join our vibrant team. The optimal candidate will have a passion for mixology and dedication to providing exceptional customer experience while ensuring a relaxed atmosphere for guests. This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing company with excellent potential for advancement! All positions are part-time, up to 30 hours per work week. Scheduling flexibility allows for working around student class and activity schedules. Willing to train.
This is a tipped position, paid ABOVE going state rate of $2.13/hour.
Requirements:
- MUST BE 21 YEARS OR OLDER
- Available up to 30 hours per work week.
- Minimum of one year bartending experience. Utilizes drink measures and proper pours.
- Able to work in fast-paced environment with confidence and poise
- Excellent communication skills, team player and solid work ethic
- Willingness to learn, expand responsibilities and have fun on the job
- Must be able to lift in excess of 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time
- Responsible Alcohol and Tobacco training and/or certificate

Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences. Assist with cigar selection.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and utensils.
- Manage cash register operations, including cash handling and processing POS payments accurately and efficiently.
- Engage with customers, providing recommendations and ensuring their satisfaction with drinks, cigars, and service. Monitor customer behavior to ensure responsible alcohol service and adherence to legal regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels of bar supplies and assist in ordering as needed.
- Adhere to food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service guidelines. Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food orders for patrons at the bar.
- Assist with special events as required, ensuring all supplies are stocked and ready for seamless service delivery.
- Participate in ongoing training related to bartending techniques, food handling safety, and customer service best practices.
Experience
- Previous experience in a bartending role or similar position in hospitality or food service is preferred.
- Familiarity with basic math skills for cash handling and retail math applications.
- Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Experience working in nightclubs, restaurants, or banquet settings is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
