Job Title: Blackstone Private Equity – Senior Associate
Job Responsibilities:
- Analyze financial data and developments in financial markets important to the business of the Blackstone Group.
- Act as point person for transactions: work with senior management and coordinate analyst responsibilities.
- Conduct research of targeted industries for investment purposes.
- Perform valuation analyses of prospective investment opportunities under consideration, including the assessment of financial risks.
- Compare a company's financial data with other companies of the same industry, size and location to forecast industry trends.
- Design and develop quantitative models to assess the economic performance of targeted companies.
- Prepare written analyses and evaluations of investment opportunities for use by Blackstone Group management and review by clients.
- Oversee the execution of transactions.
- Participate in both internal and external client meetings, negotiation of contracts and other agreements, and due diligence sessions.
- Oversee current portfolio companies and analyze potential exit opportunities.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Economics, or a related field required.
Experience:
- Minimum 4 years of experience in job offered or related occupations required.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in performing financial analysis for private and public evaluating financial statements, board decks, analyst projections and key metrics.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in advising on M&A transactions both on the sellside and buyside advising on over $30B of total transaction value across 6 deals.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in providing fairness opinions advising public companies on M&A transactions and performing DCF analyses, LBO analyses, transaction comparables, trading comparables and sum of the parts valuations.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in using Microsoft excel for financial modeling and Microsoft power point for external presentation materials.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in using FactSet and CapitalIQ (and their respective excel add-ins), software used to access historical and projected information for public companies.
- Experience can be concurrent.

Expected annual base salary range:
$147,000 - $190,000Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
