Capital Markets Associate

Associates will have the opportunity to gain exposure with Blackstone’s platform and regularly contribute to internal and external meetings, negotiations, financial modeling and strategic initiatives. Due to the relatively small size of the professional staff, associates are expected to assume an integral role in the business, build relationships across Blackstone and our portfolio, and can expect to be staffed on a wide variety of assignments at one time.

Associates will work on a wide range of transactions and responsibilities will typically include:

• Development of monetization roadmaps, timelines and tactics
• Interaction with deal teams and portfolio companies to provide guidance on the positioning, structuring, valuation, and pricing of a transaction
• Market research and competitive analysis
• Assisting with the Origination and Structuring
• Coordination both internal and with third parties around deal preparation
• Assistance in maintaining strong risk mitigation and a compliance-driven culture
• Internal company presentations, analysis and reporting

Qualifications:

Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent, and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. In addition to strong analytical and quantitative skills, the successful candidate should have:

• 2 years of corporate finance experience with a strong preference for Capital Markets experience in lead roles
• High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
• Knowledge of Bloomberg, Dealogic, CapIQ and other ECM databases
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Collaborative, team-oriented attitude, with ability to work independently
• Demonstrated maturity to work with all levels of professionals within Blackstone and outside
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task
• Perseverance and stamina
• Desire to contribute to a positive culture
• Series 7 license needed (existing or ability or ability to obtain)

Expected annual base salary range:

Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.

Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
