What are the responsibilities and job description for the Apartment Maintenance Supervisor position at 6Star Properties?
Sierra Canyon Apartments is looking for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at a 232-unit property in Santa Clarita, California. Experienced Maintenance Technicians are also encouraged to apply!
The Maintenance Supervisor will report to the Manager. They will perform maintenance duties to ensure good resident relations; maintain and enhance the value of the community, and contribute to the economic success of the property.
Essential Job Duties:
- Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work
- Planning daily tasks and delegating them to Maintenance Technicians
- Recruit, supervise and train maintenance technicians
- Hire and supervise tradesmen during installations, repairs or maintenance (electricians, plumbers etc.)
- Responsibly handling emergency situations or after-hours calls for repair and maintenance
- Coordinating training sessions in facility maintenance, safety procedures, and methods
- Maintaining preventive maintenance standards for an organization’s facilities and equipment
- Routinely inspecting various elements of buildings and grounds, like elevators, fire alarms, security cameras and sprinkler systems
- Inspect facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance
- Inspect and maintain building systems (heating, ventilation etc.)
- Contribute to the development of maintenance budget and ensure compliance
- Monitor inventory of materials and equipment
- Participate in coordination of projects (e.g. renovations)
For Meridian Pointe specifically, we need:
- HVAC/EPA Universal Certified
- Knowledge of Appliance Repair
- Plumbing
- Electrical
Job Type: Full-time - Hourly rate will depend on experience
