Job Summary:
We’re seeking an Instructional Designer to design, develop, and implement engaging and impactful learning content that will shape the future of our team members across 7 Brew’s growing network. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in instructional design principles and be passionate about creating learning experiences that are not only effective but also scalable. In this role, you will collaborate closely with business leaders, subject matter experts, and our training team to create high-quality training programs that align with business goals and workforce needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Design & Development:
- Design and develop engaging, high-quality training content across various modalities (e-learning, instructor-led, video, microlearning, etc.).
- Apply adult learning principles, instructional design best practices, and modern learning technologies to create effective learning experiences.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and business leaders to ensure content aligns with business objectives and addresses performance gaps.
- Develop clear and actionable learning outcomes and assessments that align with training goals.
- Support the creation of job aids, reference materials, and other performance support tools for learners.
Content Optimization & Maintenance:
- Continuously assess and refine training materials to keep them relevant, accurate, and engaging.
- Work closely with the training team to update content based on feedback, learner needs, and business changes.
- Ensure content is accessible, inclusive, and aligned with our brand voice and culture.
- Manage version control and content organization to ensure materials are up-to-date and easily accessible.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Work with cross-functional teams to gather input and ensure content is aligned with operational goals.
- Partner with the Training Operations Manager to ensure smooth content deployment, tracking, and access. Assist in the creation and implementation of new learning initiatives to support organizational growth.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Learning & Development, Education, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in instructional design, content development, or related roles.
- Experience designing and developing engaging learning materials across multiple formats (e-learning, instructor-led, etc.).
- Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and content delivery tools.
- Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design best practices.
- Proficiency with design and authoring tools like Articulate Storyline, Adobe InDesign, or similar platforms.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of gamification techniques, microlearning, and other modern learning trends.
- Experience in a fast-paced, rapidly growing company or franchise model.
- Certifications in instructional design, project management, or e-learning design.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- High attention to detail and a passion for creating learning experiences that drive measurable results.
- Ability to work independently and in collaboration with other teams to meet deadlines and goals.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Asana, Monday.com, Trello).
- A passion for continuous learning and staying up-to-date on the latest trends and technologies in instructional design.
