Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced, creative bartender with a passion for craft beverages to join our team. At 7 Devils Waterfront Alehouse, we pride ourselves on crafting unique cocktails and preparing house-made ingredients that elevate the drinking experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of craft beer, spirits, fresh ingredients, and classic and innovative cocktail techniques, along with excellent hospitality skills.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome and engage with customers, providing a friendly and memorable experience.
- Craft high-quality cocktails using house-made syrups, infusions, and fresh ingredients.
- Maintain a deep understanding of our craft beer offerings and make recommendations based on customer preferences.
- Take and serve drink and food orders accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure responsible alcohol service by verifying IDs and monitoring guest behavior.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, following health and safety guidelines.
- Restock bar inventory, ingredients, and supplies as needed.
- Act as a resource for the front-of-house team by guiding servers on cocktail ingredients, spirits, beer, and wine, ensuring they can confidently answer guest questions and make informed recommendations.
- Follow all company policies, including food and beverage regulations.
Qualifications:
- Prior bartending experience required, with a preference for craft cocktail or craft brewery experience.
- Strong knowledge of spirits, classic and modern cocktails, and fresh ingredient preparation.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Team-oriented attitude with a commitment to professionalism.
- Must be available to work weekends and nights (emphasis on Sundays)
- OLCC Permit and Oregon Food Handler’s Permit
Preferred Qualifications:
- Cicerone 'Beer Server' Certification
- Knowledge of Oregon beer, wine, and spirits, with a focus on locally sourced products
- 3 years Bartending Experience
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 35 lbs. regularly.
