Sales Associate *New Store Kapaa Part Time

Here we come Kapaa!  We are excited to serve the community in Kapaa with a new store opening in February 2025!   This is an excellent opportunity to join Hawaii's leading convenience store chain, 7-Eleven Hawaii. We are your neighborhood store bringing convenience to where you work, live and play. We are seeking people-oriented individuals looking to start a career in retail. Duties and Responsibilities Provide prompt, efficient and courteous customer service by greeting our customers as they enter the store Thank every customer in a sincere voice Aid in maintaining a clean, organized and customer friendly environment in and outside of the store (sweeping, mopping, stocking, dusting, emptying trash, etc.) Operate a cash register and correctly make change Maintain a positive store image by dressing and grooming according to the company’s dress code standards Work in the walk-in cooler Sell alcoholic beverages; refuse to sell alcoholic beverages to customers during restricted hours or to those who are intoxicated or underage Perform electronic ordering Be aware of merchandise sales and promotions Maintain proper food handling techniques for sanitation and spoilage control, including proper coding and rotation of food products Preparing and displaying all food service products as required Complete all job assignments and a variety of in-store paperwork Other “odd” jobs which make 7-Eleven an enjoyable place to shop   Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and coworkers Desire to be part of a results-oriented team.Physical Requirements This position requires constant standing, walking with occasional stooping, reaching, kneeling and crouching / squatting.  Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling up to 20 pounds and occasional lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds is required.    Benefits Our employees receive a generous benefits package that includes quarterly bonuses, paid personal time off, paid vacation, medical, dental, vision coverage, free life insurance, 401k/profit sharing, employee discount and much more.7-Eleven Hawaii is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, status as a veteran, and basis of disability or any other federal, state or local protected class.
